Our 5 year anniversary is April 16. It has been a fantastic 5 years. But all good things must come to an end.
Northampton Beadery will close its doors on July 10, 2016.
There are several different reasons as to why I came to this difficult decision. Most importantly is my health. Owning and operating a small, brick and mortar retail store has caused my health to decline rapidly in recent months. I need to focus on the thing that matters most. If you don’t have your health you have nothing.
Competing with an internet and online-shopping driven world is another major reason I’ve come to this decision. Having a brick and mortar small business, particularly a niche craft store, just isn’t lucrative or sustainable these days.
I have met some incredible people and have made lifetime lasting friendships. I have gotten so much joy from educating the community with beads, supplies, and jewelry making techniques. It has been an experience I’ll never forget.
I couldn’t have done it without my awesome employees Brenda & Janet and my “part-time employee” Bevlynn. You ladies rock and are the best employees in the world. It is 100% true and I mean it!
Thank you to my handful of regulars who stuck by my side. You know who you are and I will forever be grateful of your generosity, love, and support.
Liquidation sales will start in April. Details of the sales will be available on our Facebook page and in our weekly emails. As of right now scheduled classes will continue to run until the end of April. We will not be scheduling any private lessons, classes, or birthday parties after April. We will not be accepting any jewelry repairs or making special orders after April.
If you know anyone who has a gift card for Northampton Beadery please urge them to use it before we close. After July 10 gift cards will no longer be valid.
Thank you from the bottom of my heavy heart! On to planning my next adventure…
